The ITZA Blockchain is an independent project created by ITZA Labs and is currently operating in Testnet.
At this stage, ITZA Labs has not released the full source code for unrestricted public download or use. The project is therefore not currently open source. This is a deliberate and temporary position while ITZA Labs completes Testnet development, progresses toward Mainnet, and obtains greater clarity regarding its patent filings and other intellectual-property protections.
ITZA Labs believes that transparent and reviewable technology is important. For that reason, qualified organizations with a legitimate need to assess the project - including security auditors, technical review firms, institutional partners, infrastructure providers and prospective enterprise users - may request access to relevant source code and technical materials under a non-disclosure agreement.
ITZA Labs may make installable binaries, documentation, test tools and other software available through approved distribution channels, including GitHub. Availability of a binary, repository, release page or technical document does not itself grant access to, or a license for, the full source code.
Unless expressly stated otherwise in the applicable release materials, Testnet software is provided for evaluation, testing and participation in the ITZA Testnet. It remains subject to the applicable terms, notices and restrictions provided with that release.
ITZA Labs has invested substantial time and resources in developing technology that it believes may provide meaningful technical and commercial advantages. Releasing the entire source code before Mainnet launch and before the company has a clearer position regarding its patent portfolio could allow competitors to copy, adapt or commercialize elements of the technology before ITZA Labs has had a fair opportunity to protect and establish the network.
Controlled access during Testnet allows serious reviewers to evaluate the code, architecture and security of the project while preserving the company's ability to complete its intellectual-property strategy responsibly.
Following Mainnet launch, and once ITZA Labs has sufficient clarity regarding patent filings and related intellectual-property matters, ITZA Labs intends to make the source code it owns available for public download.
Our present intention is to release ITZA Labs-authored code under the MIT License for copyright purposes, together with a separate ITZA Labs NOTICE and patent-license document. The final licensing documents, scope of release and effective date will be published with the source-code release.
The MIT License is intended to provide broad copyright permissions for ITZA Labs-authored code. The separate NOTICE will identify relevant patent protections, patent applications and other intellectual-property notices associated with the technology.
Where ITZA Labs elects to grant rights under patents it owns or controls, those rights may be granted specifically for use of the technology in connection with the ITZA Network and ITZA Coin. The final patent-license terms will define the exact scope of that permission.
Any such permission is intended to support use, operation, validation, integration and development within the ITZA ecosystem. It is not intended to grant a general right to use ITZA Labs patent-protected technology to create, operate or commercialize unrelated blockchain networks, tokens, payment systems or competing technology outside the ITZA ecosystem.
Until a written patent license is expressly published by ITZA Labs, no patent license is granted by implication, estoppel or otherwise.
The ITZA software may include or interact with third-party libraries, tools and components. Those components remain subject to their own copyright notices and license terms. ITZA Labs will preserve applicable third-party notices and will not attempt to alter or restrict rights granted by the original license of an upstream component.
Where an upstream component is distributed under the MIT License or another permissive license, the original license continues to apply to the original upstream material. If ITZA Labs makes changes to such a component, any ITZA-specific terms or notices will apply only to ITZA Labs-authored additions to the extent legally permitted; they do not remove or override rights already granted in the original upstream license.
Except where ITZA Labs expressly states otherwise in writing, nothing on this website, in a GitHub repository, in Testnet software, in documentation, or during a source-code review should be interpreted as granting any license to ITZA Labs copyrights, patents, trademarks, trade secrets or other intellectual-property rights.
ITZA Labs may update this page as the project advances through Testnet, Mainnet launch and public source-code release. The final terms governing any software release will be the license, NOTICE and other legal documents distributed with that release.
