This Privacy Policy sets out how we, ITZA Labs ("ITZA Labs"), use and protect personal data that you provide to us, or that is otherwise obtained or generated by us, in connection with your use of our websites, documentation, developer tools, open-source repositories, community channels, testnets, APIs, validator or node-related tools, and other project services that link to this Privacy Policy (the "Services"). For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, "we", "us" and "our" refers to ITZA Labs, and "you" refers to the person using or interacting with the Services.
This Privacy Policy is written for the ITZA Labs project environment. ITZA Labs is not primarily a consumer messaging service. Our Services are intended to support blockchain research, development, testing, open-source contribution, developer education, infrastructure tooling, community engagement, and related project activity.
ITZA Labs has three fundamental principles when it comes to collecting and processing personal data:
We do not use your personal data to show you ads or to target advertising.
We do not sell your personal data or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We only collect and store the data that ITZA Labs reasonably needs to operate, secure, improve, and support the Services.
This Privacy Policy forms part of our Terms of Service or other applicable terms that describe the conditions under which you use our Services. This Privacy Policy should therefore be read in conjunction with those terms.
This Privacy Policy explains the following:
the legal basis for processing your personal data;
what personal data we may collect from you;
how we keep your personal data safe;
what we may use your personal data for;
who your personal data may be shared with;
how public blockchain data is treated; and
your rights regarding your personal data.
If you live in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, Switzerland, or another region with privacy or data protection laws, ITZA Labs acts as the data controller for personal data that we collect directly through the Services, unless a specific service, form, contract, or notice says otherwise. Where applicable law requires a local representative or additional regional disclosures, we will provide those details through the Services or upon request.
The Services may link to or integrate with third-party services such as code hosting platforms, community platforms, analytics providers, cloud infrastructure providers, wallet providers, block explorers, exchanges, or other developer tools. Those third parties are responsible for their own privacy practices. This Privacy Policy does not control how they collect, use, or disclose your data.
We process personal data where such processing is necessary to provide the Services, to perform a contract with you, to further our legitimate interests, to comply with legal obligations, or where you have given consent.
Our legitimate interests include: (1) operating and improving effective, secure and innovative blockchain research and developer services; (2) maintaining project security and network integrity; (3) detecting, preventing and responding to spam, fraud, abuse, misuse, attacks, or other security issues; (4) communicating with developers, contributors, validators, partners, and users; (5) supporting open-source collaboration and community participation; and (6) protecting the rights, property, and safety of ITZA Labs, our users, contributors, and the public.
You may provide personal data to ITZA Labs when you contact us, join a waitlist, request information, subscribe to updates, apply to participate in a testnet, submit a form, report a bug, request support, register for a developer account, or otherwise interact with the Services.
This data may include your name, email address, phone number, company, job title, project name, website, country or region, social handle, wallet address, node operator information, developer profile, and any other information you choose to provide.
Please do not provide personal data that is not necessary for your interaction with ITZA Labs.
If you interact with ITZA Labs through open-source repositories, issue trackers, pull requests, documentation edits, forums, chat groups, social media, community calls, developer programs, or similar project spaces, we may process information associated with those interactions.
This may include usernames, public profiles, commits, issue comments, pull request activity, technical submissions, messages, timestamps, contribution history, and public or private communications you send to us. Some of this information may be public by design, especially where it is posted in public repositories, public forums, or public community channels.
If you use ITZA Labs blockchain tools, APIs, wallets, testnets, validator software, node tools, faucets, block explorers, smart contract tools, or similar infrastructure, we may process technical information connected with that activity.
This may include wallet addresses, public keys, transaction hashes, block numbers, timestamps, smart contract interactions, testnet token requests, node identifiers, validator identifiers, network metadata, API activity, and other technical information required to operate, test, debug, secure, or improve the Services.
Blockchain data is different from ordinary account data. Information written to a public or distributed blockchain may be visible to anyone, copied by anyone, indexed by third parties, and impossible for ITZA Labs to delete or modify after it has been confirmed. You should not write personal, confidential, sensitive, or regulated information to a public blockchain unless you fully understand the consequences.
If the Services require an account, dashboard, API key, developer credential, or other authentication method, we may process the data needed to create, secure and manage that access.
This may include login credentials, authentication tokens, API keys, access logs, permissions, account settings, usage limits, billing status where applicable, and security events. Passwords, where used, should be stored using appropriate technical safeguards. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure.
When you use the Services, our systems and service providers may automatically process technical data. This may include IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referral URLs, pages visited, files requested, API endpoints used, timestamps, crash reports, latency, error logs, node telemetry, and other diagnostic or security information.
We use this information to operate the Services, understand basic usage, troubleshoot problems, improve performance, prevent abuse, defend against attacks, and maintain reliable infrastructure.
If you email us, message us, join a call, submit feedback, participate in a survey, report a vulnerability, apply for a role, apply for a grant, request support, or otherwise communicate with ITZA Labs, we may process the contents of those communications and related contact information.
We use this information to respond to you, keep records of the conversation, improve the Services, evaluate submissions, manage relationships, and protect ITZA Labs and its users.
We may use cookies and similar technologies to operate and provide the Services on the web, remember settings, secure sessions, measure basic usage, and understand how the Services are performing. We do not use cookies to target ads.
Your browser should allow you to control cookies, including whether to accept them and how to remove them. If you disable certain cookies, some parts of the Services may not function correctly.
ITZA Labs will never ask you for your private key, seed phrase, recovery phrase, wallet password, or other secret credential. You should never send this information to us, enter it into a form unless you are certain you are using trusted wallet software, or share it with anyone claiming to represent ITZA Labs.
Unless a specific service clearly says otherwise, ITZA Labs does not need your government identification number, financial account number, biometric data, health information, or other highly sensitive personal data. Please do not submit sensitive personal data to us unless we specifically request it for a lawful and clearly stated purpose.
The Services are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age required by applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal data to ITZA Labs without appropriate consent, please contact us so that we can take appropriate action.
We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, and disclosure. These safeguards may include access controls, encryption, logging, monitoring, secure development practices, and contractual protections with service providers.
No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your own devices, accounts, wallets, private keys, seed phrases, and credentials secure.
Some information connected with the Services may be public by design. Public blockchain data, public repository activity, public forum posts, public issue comments, public social media activity, and public community messages may be copied, stored, indexed, analyzed, and redistributed by others outside ITZA Labs.
ITZA Labs may not be able to delete or control data that you or others make public, data that appears on a blockchain, data that is stored by decentralized network participants, or data that is copied by third parties.
Where ITZA Labs provides tools that allow data to remain local to your device, be encrypted before transmission, or be processed through software you control, ITZA Labs may not have access to the underlying content. In those cases, we may process only technical data required to provide or support the Services.
Unless stated otherwise in this Privacy Policy, we retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, maintain security, and preserve legitimate business records.
Security logs, API logs, support records, community records, developer records, and similar operational records may be retained for different periods depending on their purpose. Public blockchain data and public open-source contributions may persist indefinitely.
We process personal data to provide, maintain, support, and improve the Services, including websites, documentation, developer tools, APIs, testnets, node software, validator tools, community programs, support channels, and other project services.
We may process technical data, logs, account data, wallet-related data, node-related data, and communications to improve security, prevent spam, prevent abuse, detect attacks, investigate suspicious activity, enforce our terms, and protect the Services.
We may process personal data to respond to questions, review bug reports, manage vulnerability disclosures, evaluate grant or partnership requests, coordinate testnet participation, review contributions, and communicate project updates.
We may use aggregated, de-identified, or technical information to understand how the Services are used, improve developer experience, measure network performance, test features, prioritize roadmap decisions, and improve documentation, tooling, and infrastructure.
We may process personal data where necessary to comply with applicable law, respond to lawful requests, protect legal rights, preserve evidence, prevent fraud, and enforce agreements.
Unlike many services, we do not use your personal data for ad targeting. ITZA Labs only stores the information it reasonably needs to function as a secure, useful and innovative blockchain research and developer project.
We may share personal data with service providers that help us operate the Services. These may include cloud hosting providers, infrastructure providers, analytics providers, email providers, security providers, support tools, code hosting platforms, community platforms, and other vendors that process data on our behalf.
We use service providers only where we believe they are necessary or useful for operating the Services, and we expect them to protect personal data appropriately.
We may share personal data with affiliates, contractors, advisors, contributors, or project partners where reasonably necessary to operate, secure, develop, fund, support, or improve the Services.
Where information is shared with a partner for a specific program, testnet, grant, integration, or collaboration, additional terms or disclosures may apply.
If you publish information to a public blockchain, public repository, public forum, public chat, public issue tracker, or public community channel, that information may be visible to other users and the public. ITZA Labs does not control how other people copy, use, index, or disclose public information.
We may disclose personal data if we believe in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal process, court order, subpoena, governmental request, or regulatory obligation; to enforce our terms; to investigate or prevent fraud, security incidents, or abuse; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of ITZA Labs, our users, contributors, partners, or the public.
If ITZA Labs is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, asset sale, corporate transaction, or similar event, personal data may be disclosed or transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate protections where required by law.
We do not sell your personal data. We also do not share your personal data for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Depending on where you live and subject to applicable law, you may have rights concerning your personal data. These rights may include the right to: (1) request access to personal data we hold about you; (2) request a copy of your personal data; (3) request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data; (4) request deletion of personal data; (5) object to or restrict certain processing; (6) withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; (7) opt out of certain data sharing where applicable; and (8) lodge a complaint with a relevant data protection authority.
If you wish to exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details in section 11 below. We may need to verify your identity before responding to certain requests.
Some data cannot reasonably be deleted, corrected, or restricted by ITZA Labs. This may include public blockchain data, public open-source contributions, public community posts, records we must keep for legal or security reasons, and data controlled by third-party services.
Where the Services provide settings or tools that allow you to control your data, you may use those settings to manage your information, credentials, subscriptions, communications, or account preferences.
If you are not comfortable with the modest data that ITZA Labs needs to operate and secure the Services, you should not use the Services.
If you have an account, developer profile, API credential, or similar access with ITZA Labs, you may request deletion by contacting us using the details in section 11 below. Deleting an account may remove or disable access to certain Services, developer tools, dashboards, API keys, testnet tools, support history, or related features.
You may request deletion of personal data contained in support records, contact forms, emails, or similar communications, subject to legal, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, and operational retention requirements.
ITZA Labs cannot delete, reverse, hide, or modify information that has been written to a public or distributed blockchain. This includes wallet addresses, transaction hashes, smart contract interactions, timestamps, and other public chain data.
ITZA Labs may not be able to delete public open-source contributions, public issue comments, public repository activity, public forum posts, public social media posts, or community messages, especially where they are controlled by third-party platforms or copied by other users.
If you subscribe to project updates, newsletters, or similar communications, you may unsubscribe using the link provided in those messages or by contacting us.
ITZA Labs may process and store personal data in the United States and other countries where we, our affiliates, service providers, contractors, or partners operate. These countries may have privacy laws that differ from the laws of your country.
Where required by applicable law, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers of personal data.
We will review and may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes to this Privacy Policy will become effective when we post the revised Privacy Policy. Please check our website frequently to see any updates or changes to our Privacy Policy.
